We understand. There are times in everyone’s lives when they need help
from others. If you are having trouble paying your utility bill, we can
help.
If you are seeking help between November 1 and April 30, the first step
is to submit an application to the Low-Income Energy Assistance Program,
or LEAP. Please click on the LEAP button above to learn about the LEAP
guidelines and to download an application. Each year, Energy Outreach
Colorado donates millions of dollars to LEAP to help qualifying families
receive help paying their energy bills.
If you are seeking help between May 1 and October 31, or if you do not
qualify for federal assistance under the LEAP program or have already
received LEAP and need help again, then you can seek help directly from
Energy Outreach Colorado on a year-round basis. To qualify for our
funds, you must owe a past-due balance on your utility bill. We provide
millions of dollars in assistance funds to a Charitable Energy Network
of more than 138 emergency assistance sites across the state. Please
click on the Charitable Energy Network button above to read about this
network and find the agency best suited to assist you.
If you are interested in learning about a home weatherization program
that provides no-cost energy audits and energy efficient upgrades to
households that meet the income guidelines, please click on the
Weatherization Assistance button above. This service is offered in
cooperation with the Governor’s Energy Office and Xcel Energy.
We’re here to help all Coloradans afford home energy. |
